Will drive through the Tizi- N-Tichka pass (2260m) in the High Atlas Mountains toward Ouarzazate. We will enjoy panoramic roads, also beautiful landscapes with different colours and Berber villages along the way. Visit old Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou (in UNESCO from 1987). It has been used as a backdrop for more than 20 films (including “Gladiator” “Indiana Jones” and “Lawrence of Arabia”). You will enjoy a walk to explore the traditional Moroccan style of architecture. Then we drive further southeast to the Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses via the fascinating Skoura palmery. We will have dinner and an overnight stay in Dades Valley.
Today after breakfast, we depart taking the road of 1000 kasbahs and we drive around the colourful Berber villages of the Dades valley. Then we will get to Tinghir where we will visit its beautiful palm grove and Jewish quarter. Continue to Todra Gorges where we go on trek along the canyons of about 300m high which is a favourite place for rock climbers. Afterwards, we will drive to Erfoud, Rissani and finally, we reach Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga Sahara desert. Camels Ride to the dunes in the Sahara. We will enjoy sunset over the dunes and then we ride camels to the desert camp where we will have dinner. We will spend the night in nomad tents.
Early morning today we will wake to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, followed by breakfast in the desert camp. Then we ride camels back to the hotel. Afterwards, we drive to Rissani, a small Saharan town, where we will stop for a short visit to a fossil workshop before we continue to Agdez and Draa Valley. Then we head to Ouarzazate where we will have dinner and an overnight stay in a local hotel/riad.
Today we will enjoy a visit to a local cinema studio which is known as Hollywood of Africa. We continue our way to Marrakesh through the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka pass with a break for lunch in the middle of the Atlas Mountains. We will drop you off at your Marrakech hotel.
