Today we departure from Marrakech at 7 am, and we drive across the Atlas Mountains (200 km through the High Atlas Mountain).We will have a short stop for breakfast around 9:00 am in a Berber Village called Tadart. Then first longer stop is to visit ‘Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah (16th century fortress classified by UNESCO as a human heritage). Many big movies were filmed there (Gladiator, Laurence of Arabia, Kingdom of Heaven). We stop for lunch in Ouarzazate (the capital city of cinema in Africa). Then after lunch we drive through the Roses valley and the Road of 1000 Kasbahs to arrive to Dades Gorges at afternoon. We will spend this night in the Gorges in local riad.
Today we drive toward Todgha valley, and we visit the valley and its gorges. Then we drive to Erfoud where we stop for lunch, and we will visit some fossils shops and fossil factory. Later we drive to Merzouga (village- the gate to the dunes). From Merzouga lcoal desert hotel we ride camels for around 2 hours into the dunes and we will arrive to the desert camp . Here we will have a mint tea with the nomad people, and then we get over the dunes to watch the sunset over the dunes. Then we will get back to the camp for dinner. After dinner the nomads play music around a campfire. We will sleep under nomads tents in Sahara desert.
Today we will wake up early before sunrise to watch amazing sunrise in Sahara desert. Then we will ride camels back to Merzouga village. Once back to the hotel , we have a shower and breakfast and after that we drive back to Marrakech via Ouarzazatte.
