7 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga desert and back

Day 1 : Marrakech

Vip Morocco Trips organizes private tours from Marrakech to desert in guided tours across Morocco in 7 day-tour. Today we will meet you at the airport/train station and we transfer you to hotel in medina. Depending on your arrival time you will have guided tour of Marrakech. We spend this night in local hotel.

Day 2 : Marakech – Telouat – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate

Today after breakfast, we will departure to Ouarzazate over Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2260m) and enjoying attractive views of the High Atlas mountains. We will pass also few Berber villages and we stop for lunch in Telouat and we will visit Telouat kasbah (Glaoui dynasty). Then we visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. Before we arrive to Ouarzazate we will visit the Atlas studios (filmed here Lawrence of Arabia, Jewel of the Nile , The Mummy, Gladiator and The Man Who Would Be King). Then we will have dinner and we spend this night in local hotel.

Day 3 : Ouarzazate – Skoura – El Kelaa M’gouna – Boutghrar- Tinghir (Todra gorges)

Today after breakfast we head toward Tinghir, passing by Kasbah of Taourirt and beautiful oasis of the palm grove in Skoura, where we will visit Kasbah of Amerhidil. Then we head to El Kelaa M’gouna (the Valley of roses) where we will have lunch and then we drive through the valley and gorges of Dades. We will have dinner and we stay overnight in local hotel in Todra gorges.

Day 4 : Todra Gorges -Tinjdad- El Jarf- Erfoud -Merzouga desert

Today after breakfast we will explore the marvelous Todra gorges. Then we drive to Tinghir where you can have walk between the gorgeous oasis palm trees and afterwards we head toward city of Tinjdad , and Erfoud where you will discover the marble and fossils shops and factories.Reach Merzouga village from where we ride camels into Erg Chebbi dunes. We will spend this night in a bivouac (desert camp). We will enjoy Berber food, and listen to the Berber drum music. Spend this night in traditional nomad tent.

Day 5 : Merzouga desert – Rissani – Alnif- Draa valley – Ouarzazate

Today our camel guide will wake you up very early to watch the spectacular sunrise in the desert. , Then we will return to the desert camp to have breakfast and we ride camels back to Merzouga village. Later we drive to Rissani where we can visit the Zaouia of Moulay Ali El-Charif, the mausoleum of the dynasty Glaoui founder. We will also discover the local market and traditional souk . After that we head to Ouarzazate via Alnif, Draa valley. We stay overnight in local hotel with dinner and breakfast.

Day 6 : Ouarzazate – the pass of Tizi n’Tichka – Marrakech

Today after breakfast we departure toward Marrakech by crossing the High Atlas mountain (Tizi n’Tichka). We will arrive to Marrakech late afternoon. After short visit of local medina we will have dinner in hotel where we stay overnight.

Day 7 : Marrakech
