5 Day Imperial Cities Tour from Casablanca

Day 1: Casablanca – City Tour.

Depending on your arrival time to Casablanca, and after meeting your driver, your first day will include; a stroll in the narrow Medina streets, United Nations Square, Place Mohammed V, the central market, the residential district of Anfa, Boulevard Corniche with its luxury pools and restaurants and the spectacular Hassan II Mosque. (Dinner/night in your hotel/Riad)

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, we depart for Fes. On route we stop in Rabat to discover the Mechouar of the Royal-Palace, the ruins of Chellah, the Hassan Tower and the Mohammed V Mausoleum. After lunch in a local restaurant we travel on to Meknes to see El Hadim square, Bab Mansour, the old city and the Jewish quarter, the royal granaries and the old city ramparts. We then continue on to Fes to spend the night.

Day 3: Fes – Guided medina discovery tour.

After breakfast, your guide collects you to start your medina tour. Founded in the 9th century and home to the oldest university in the world, Fes is the cultural and spiritual heart of Morocco with the most extensive and well preserved continually functioning Arab-Muslim medina in the world. Step back in time through labyrinthine cobblestoned laneways, past donkeys laden with wares and piles of exotic spices, smell the smoke of the street food and hear the chink of the coppersmith’s hammer. Your tour will include such sights as the Royal Palace gates, Jewish Quarter, Ibn Danan synagogue, Medersa el Attarine, Nejjarine Fountain, University and Mosque Al Quaraouiyine, Moulay Idriss museum, Medersa Bou Inania, the UNESCO world heritage leatherworks and Tannery, ceramic school and the tranquil gardens of J’nan S’bil. Return to your Riad that night after a ‘wow’ of a day.

Day 4: Fes – Volubilis – Moulay Idriss – Casablanca.

Depart Fes for the holy town of Moulay Idriss “the founder of Fes” and his mausoleum. Visit the 2000year old Roman ruins of Volubilis, spend some time exploring and getting a picture of life during the Roman Empire. After lunch we continue to Casablanca for a night in your hotel/riad.

Day 5: Casablanca – Airport transfer.

Free time in Casablanca before a private transfer to the airport (depending on your flight times).
